 O - Oxymoron

Oxymoron: Combination of incompatible terms.

The term 'oxymoron' derives from the Greek, where it is a term composed from the terms for sharp and for blunt. Oxymorons are a favorite tool of those who want to make an impression of deep thinking, and of those who want to bamboozle an audience, and they are therefore widely used in would-be philosophical and religious prose.
