Crisis: Two videos

"They who can give up essential

About ME/CFS

Introduction:

It is still the first day of the year 2014 A.D. and I have provided the usual updates and starts for a new year. See here. The present file has two videos with brief comments.

This is an ordinary crisis file, and in case you want more text, you can consult the one from a year ago:
I still think the same, and indeed found no reasons to change my mind, and I have written it.

1. Robert Reich's video

This is a nice video by Robert Reich:

Mind you, I don't know he is correct in his optimism, but the video is nice, and
he hasn't really much of an option for another possible message than being at least a bit optimistic.

2. Patti Smith's video

This is a video of Patti Smith performing "Edward Snowden":

Actually, I do not think the song is very good, but it does make fundamental sense; it rhymes; and Patti Smith is one of the few popstars who did do this.

Ayway... more tomorrow.

Note

[1] Here it is necessary to insist, with Aristotle, thay the governors do not rule, or at least, should not rule: The laws rule, and the government, if good, is part of its executive power. Here I quote Aristotle from my More on stupidity, the rule of law, and Glenn Greenwald:
It is more proper that law should govern than any of the citizens: upon the same principle, if it is advantageous to place supreme power in some particular persons, they should be appointed to be only guardians, and the servant of laws.
(And I note the whole file I quote from is quite pertinent.)
