About ME/CFS

Introduction

This file is not about the crisis - there wasn't much, and also I decided to do some other things. And this is just a quite brief report on what I am reading.

1. A brief bit on Erica Jong and Henry Miller

I believe I last wrote about Henry Miller in May of this year, several times,  starting here: On Henry Miller (and George Orwell) - 1, where I also mention that I read quite a lot of Miller in 1979 and 1980, and that I like him, but that I haven't read much of him since that period, and that I also cannot find his books anymore, though I had at least five. (And this is a bit strange, though indeed I've also moved four times since.)

Today I decided to do something about getting some of his works again, went cycling into the city of Amsterdam, and went to my ordinary bookshop, The Book Exchange, that indeed had originally supplied Miller in
1979 and 1980, and then had quite a lot of him.

There was nothing to be had by Miller today in the shop, but instead I found "The Devil at Large - Erica Jong on Henry Miller", which is from 1993, and that I bought while it was quite unread. I am now reading it, and so far it is quite interesting, also for several different kinds of reasons.

I think I have missed Jong's "Fear of Flying", as I certainly missed the friendship between Jong and Miller, and as I said I've bought this book,
"The Devil at Large", today, while it is originally from 1993, so I may be running a bit slow, perhaps.

Even so, this looks interesting and useful. (To me.)

Anyway... today I merely
told you what I am reading, and in fact I also gave three Wikipedia-links. Maybe I'll write more on this later, even though I fear it will not interest many.
