me+ME: Dr. Speedy clarifies NICE and PACE

I am still around, but unlike yesterday at long last slept tolerably well - and found this morning that yesterday's Nederlog contained many typing errors and unclarities, most of which have now been corrected.

In exoneration: I generally type these and other pages on my site while feeling fairly to very exhausted - is the least improper word for folks with ME/CFS: it is not ordinary "fatigue" or "tiredness", and doesn't quite feel like that either, but worse, namely as if having run the marathon a brief while ago - and I generally do so in one sitting, writing very fast, and then upload, after which I generally collapse into bed to recuperate.

Thus also yesterday, but sometimes this comes with more mistakes and typos than can be fairly imposed on my readers.

Anyway... I corrected it, and it should be mostly clear now.

As to the subject of my title:

Dr. Speedy is an Australian GP - a genuine medical doctor - with ME, who has an interesting and useful blogging site I have mentioned repeatedly before. I missed what follows below, that on his site is dated February 22 last, and of which I only quote the beginning. You can find all of it by clicking on the title that follows.

First a small terminological clarification for those ignorant about ME:

The English psychiatric sadists who falsify ME in the name of 'evidence based medicine' - if you read that ('evidence based medicine') you ought to know you are probably being shammed and lied to, as it is a pleonasm in real science, and lying propaganda outside it - also select such acronyms as falsify most, much like Stalin named his main propaganda tool "The Truth" ("Pravda", in Russian):

Thus "The NICE Guidelines" abbreviate the "National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence", which in my experience should read the "National Institute for Crap and Excrescence in the name of 'evidence based medicine'.

Similarly, because many patients with ME/CFS found some relief by a careful pacing of their activities, unlike what the medical frauds of "The NICE Guidelines" prescribe, which is exercise till you drop (preferably dead, it must be assumed, as far as the British health authorities are concerned, when "caring" for patients with ME/CFS), and the medical fraud, sadist, and psychiatrist Peter Denton White accordingly had the mental sickness to call his shit "Pacing, graded Activity and Cognitive behaviour therapy: a randomised Evaluation" - and by "randomised Evaluation" this crapping pseudoscientist means "'evidence based medicine' in which everyone who has ME as described by Komaroff or the Canada Criterions - see below - have been carefully excluded on purpose, so as to falsify what the real facts for persons who are really ill with ME are".

This having been clarified, here is the beginning of Dr. Speedy's quite justified satirical take:

PACE trial results are out: ME is caused by an oncogenic virus

The Dr. Speedy Network of Clinical Excellence has been conducting a PACE (Properly Acquiring Clinical Evidence) trial over the last 80 years or so.

This was a miracle in itself, as we only had a budget of five pounds. This time however, we have been conducting a PACE trial including ME patients.

We have deliberately steered away from wasting billions of taxpayers money on a trial that excluded the patients that were supposed to be in the trial and which came to conclusions that were written before the trial had even started.

We used the five pounds to buy the groundbreaking book by Dr. Melvin Ramsay, which describes the outbreak of ME in the Royal Free Hospital in London in 1955. He only included patients who had fallen ill with ME. Hysterical psychiatrist were deliberately excluded before he had even started to write his book.

The answer to what is causing ME can be found in this book. The only thing one has to do, is read the book and use the thinking part of our brain. The part which harbors the Pinocchio gene, prevalent in CBT psychiatrists, is destroyed by first undergoing a few sessions of Lightning Therapy.

There are few things that stand out if you read the book.

First of all, chronic fatigue doesn't feature in this book about ME.

Secondly, a cardinal feature of ME is muscle fatigue, i.e. muscle weakness, with an abnormally delayed recovery, which can take days or weeks, after doing trivial things.

The other thing, which becomes clear straight away is that we've had similar small epidemics, always in closely knit communities. Dr. Ramsay also described the phenomenon that a few weeks after the initial outbreak there was another one, this time a lot smaller, and this continued for about 5 to 6 month after the initial one.

P.S. Corrections have to be made later, if any.

As to acronyms, I can do it too:

"PACE" = "Peter denton white's Artful Crapulous Excrements"
= "Pathetic Artful lying & degrading, demeaning, sadistic, fraudulent Clinical Evasions"
          = "Psychiatrically Assisted Conmanship's Excreta"

"Ah me! alas, pain, pain ever, forever!

No change, no pause, no hope! Yet I endure.
I ask the Earth, have not the mountains felt?
I ask yon Heaven, the all-beholding Sun,
Has it not seen? The Sea, in storm or calm,
Heaven's ever-changing Shadow, spread below,
Have its deaf waves not heard my agony?
Ah me! alas, pain, pain ever, forever!
