I continue being not well, and otherwise also as before,
so I cannot do much.

1. Site and Multatuli news
The site has been a little updated
I think the last is a real contribution to both Dutch
literature and the study of the person who is generally regarded, and
justifiedly so, the greatest Dutch writer, but like all my Dutch texts,
they are ignored, because it is I who wrote them:
But it's done and I have done it, and I also think it is
2. An good Dutch piece about ME and
Someone sent me a link to a good and informed Dutch text
about ME and psychology:
It is from the following
site for professionals in the trade:
I won't translate it, except for the summary:
Syndrome (ME/CFS) may be an infectious disease, that's caused by a
retrovirus (XMRV). Psychologists who treat patients with ME/CFS with
cognitive behavorial therapy must prepare for a new reality."
If you read Dutch, it is well worth reading, and may be worth to tell
your doctor or your therapist about, also since - for me at
least, who is a Dutch psychologist with 32 years ME and no help and much
discrimination because I was "ill of a disease without a medical
explanation, in Holland, in the 20th and 21st Century",
not the Middle Ages, outside medicine
and psychology, that is - these "treatments" have grave moral, medical,
and legal consequences: I have had far too much discrimination and
pain to forgive any of it, the more so since so much of it was obviously
motivated by malice, indifference, and lies:
"We never hurt each other but
by error or by malice" (Dr.
But more on this subject of "ME/CFS,
the law and Human rights" later - but yesterday's Nederlog
Fine skeptical diagnosis of LP + info on
bogus therapies is quite relevant, also in my notes and
P.S. This is were it stands at the moment, and I still have to
make some corrections in earlier files of this month.
Incidentally... here are five remarks that may interest regular
readers of Nederlog:
- Every Nederlog when
it is written is uploaded originally in two versions, all the same
except for filenames: One is called by the date on which it is
published followed by a letter; its copy is called NL.htm and is the
Nederlog for that day. If you want to download Nederlogs, it is
generally most convenient to download by the named date, which you get
to, for any day, by the index.
- Because I write
Nederlogs usually hastily, without spellchecker, and in some pain,
usually feeling rather miserable, it often happens that later versions
are more correct than earlier versions, in which there may be spelling
mistakes and sometimes missing words, and other mistakes. If you want
my text as they were intended to be (mostly) the version of the next
day often is somewhat corrected.
- Such corrections of
typos I generally do not explicitly list, and may also be made in
earlier Nederlogs, if I see a need for them and have the energy to make
the correction. Changes in the content of what I wrote, if made,
generally are explicitly listed at the end of the Nederlog the change
is made in.
- The Nederlogs of
previous years are hardly ever changed in text, though they may pass
through format-changes or general updates. Normally, and nearly always,
the text of a Nederlog is as I wrote it that day, possibly with some
minor corrections of typos made the next day.
- Anybody who believes
I made mistakes can e-mail me, and I
generally will correct factual mistakes.
P.P.S. It may be I have to stop Nederlog for a while. The reason
is that I am physically not well at all. I don't know yet, but if
there is no Nederlog, now you know the reason.
